Careful What You Wish For

So I don't plan to just keep posting song lyrics, but this one struck me as well. And I like this song, actually. It just made me think of how I've been thinking about wanting to fall in love. Asking God when he might send the right guy my way or if I already missed him because I wasn't paying attention. I feel like this is kind of him answering me. "What would you do for love? This love your dreaming of?"

I don't really think God is snarky or anything but I feel like it's a bit of a challange to me. Kind of a series of questions he's sending my way to contemplate:

You want love, but how much do you really want it?
Are you willing to work at when the going gets tough?
Or are you just dreaming of a fairy tale?
What would you do for love?
Will it be worth it when you get it if it's not the fantasy you've been hoping for?
Careful what you wish for.
Are you really ready?

Anyway, thinking about all this and I heard this song and it struck a chord. If you haven't heard it, go check it out.

    Megan shares her umbrella with me when I'm getting wet because I never bring my umbrella. I refuse. So, even though she could prove she is right by not sharing she does so anyway because she loves me...then waits till we get home to gloat, lol.

    You'll find love my sister. You are too good a person not to. If that is what you want than starting looking. Things won't always come to you. God can only do so much. You have to make a conscience effort to accomplish and find something you want as well.

Here it comes! 3 days away from NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month)! This is my 4th year of trying to write 50,000 words in one month. I have never done it before, but I'm feelin' lucky this year. Tea for Two and Then Some

On May 3 (yes, I'm behind, lol) I went to a tea with...well, let's just say, some of my female relatives. There were too many to name them all. We had a blast! The teas are held about four times a year and it's a great way to spend some time together in a special way.  I've always been into tea parties and tea time rituals. This is a very casual feeling tea, though we do dress up a bit, and the food is always amazing. Check out the menu for yourself: I need to find a recipe for that soup, oh my goodness. Yeah, I let Lent slip on in again without starting my Writing to God and I never finished last year. But here I am again, attempting another year of Lenten practice. Better late than never?
